Higher Life Christian Church began with a vision and a handful of faithful members in 2020 at our current location: 5524 Williamson Road, Suite 19, Roanoke, VA, 24012. While the seed of our ministry was first planted in the region by dedicated missionaries back in 2015, the church as it is today was born out of a specific desire to establish a strong, faith-based community in Roanoke. The initial efforts were challenging, but our founders were resolute in their belief in the power of the Gospel and the Lord's calling.
Our mission has evolved beautifully. Though the initial focus was on reaching out to the African American community in the Roanoke area, God’s love has no boundaries. Higher Life Christian Church is now a vibrant, community-embracing church that welcomes and celebrates people from all sectors of American society.
We believe that true Christian life is a “Higher Life”—one lived in freedom, purpose, and abundant grace. Our church is a spiritual home where everyone can:
Encounter the transformative love of Jesus Christ.
Connect in meaningful, supportive community.
Grow in biblical knowledge and spiritual maturity.
Serve our local community with compassion
